Web development
for
Canada

Canada has the same clock problem as the US and one extra thing that catches people out: if you sell into Quebec, French is not a nice-to-have on the site. Both are worth knowing before you pick who builds it.

When we're both awake.

Computed

Worked out from the timezone database when this page was built, against a 9–6 working day at each end — not typed in, so it stays right when the clocks change. We're in Karachi, Monday to Friday.

Toronto & Montreal

0hours together in normal office hours

So we work
7pm–11pm our time · 6pm–10pm from July
Which is
9am–1pm yours

Our working day ends before yours starts, so this window is ours to cover, not yours. We'd rather show you the clock than claim there isn't one.

Vancouver

0hours together in normal office hours

So we work
10pm–2am our time · 9pm–1am from July
Which is
9am–1pm yours

Our working day ends before yours starts, so this window is ours to cover, not yours. We'd rather show you the clock than claim there isn't one.

Your working week
Monday to Friday, the same as ours — it is the hours, not the days, that differ.
We quote in
CAD, against a fixed scope.
Payment
Ask us — we'll tell you exactly what we can accept from Canada before you commit to anything.
Where we are
Karachi, Pakistan. No office in Canada and we won't pretend otherwise.

What's different here.

Canada

French, if Quebec is in your market

Quebec's language law reaches commercial websites, and the practical bar is that the French has to be there and has to be as good as the English rather than a machine pass nobody read. We build bilingual sites as one project with `hreflang` set correctly, and we will say plainly if your plan needs it or does not — we build websites, so take the legal question to someone who does that, but do not let anyone build you a site that ignores it.

Two coasts, two different projects

Toronto and Vancouver are three hours apart from each other and both are a long way from us. The windows at the top of this page are worked out per coast, because quoting one Canadian number would be wrong for one of them. Toronto is the easier of the two by some distance.

Written by default

With no shared office hours, the projects that go well are the ones where the trail is written down: updates you can read at your own start of day, a staging URL that is always current, and decisions recorded rather than left in a call nobody minuted.
